Lawsuits filed against Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay is confronting more problems from hundreds of victims of the Vegas shooting. Lawsuits have been filed against the Casino-Hotel for what the victims say was a poor security. In the largest lawsuit there are 450 plaintiffs involved. Lawsuits are also being filed against the shooter Steven Paddock’s estate as well as Live Nation Entertainment Inc,. who were the organizers of the concert.

Caesars Big Purchase

On November 16, 2017 Caesars confirmed that they will be paying $1.7 Billion in cash for Centaur Indiana Casinos. With a Racetrack, 2,000 slot machines and a combined gross revenue of $480m, Caesars is looking to not only enlarge its presence in Indiana but add to their bottom line. With the two Riverboat Casinos that Caesars already owns in Indiana and the acquisition of the Centaur Casinos, Caesars will control half of the Indiana casino market

UKGC Ensures Gambling Fairness

The United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) is pushing for “fairer and safer gambling” and is putting pressure on gambling operators to make gambling safe and fair for the players or face hefty fines and the force of the UK Government. Much of the regulation has to do with problems caused from problem gambling and the settling of disputes between the casino operators and players.

Legionnaires Disease in Vegas

The Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has reported 7 cases of Legionnaires Disease which has been confirmed by the Southern Nevada Health District. For those of you not old enough to remember, Legionnaires Disease was first recognized in a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania  hotel back in 1976. In that outbreak 29 people died out of 182 who contracted the disease at the American Legion Convention.

Royal Panda Casino Purchased

The highly popular online casino Royal Panda will be official purchased by the LeoVegas Group for approximately 120 million euros. The official purchase/transfer date should occur on December 1, 2017. This acquisition will help LeoVegas expand their gambling ventures into the online and mobile industry.
